We're the most profitable group of PC gamers out there. I don't know why PC gamers expect there to be this huge change in the way MMOs are played. Not saying that wouldn't neccesarily be a good thing for the genre but I have no idea how you'd take gameplay like Skyrims and inject it into an MMO.

They are making a monumental mistake if this is another theme park clone of WoW.

Lot's of people had high hopes that an elder scrolls MMO would break the mold but that's looking less and less likely.

Will there ever be a triple A sandbox MMORPG?

now a bit of devils advocate. wows system is great but it gets stale fast. to think skyrims gameplay online would work is pathetic. it hardly passes as combat now... do you really enjoy skyrims clunky style or do you enjoy its game depth.

this game should aim to be all of what skyrim and fallout are dynamic content wise with wow system of combat. ONLY WOWS COMBAT. its very fluid and balanced properly would work out

You can't have Skyrim quality graphics in an MMO. There are too many variables that prevent it, like 80 people gathering in the same room. Trust me, I've literally spent hundreds of hours programming to solve issues like that (on a team with 20+ other programmers), and the solution doesn't involve keeping the graphics level the same as a single player game.

MMOs thrive by having their game open to a lot of different players, making the game only run well on a GTX 680 might limit subscriptions a bit (yes I'm being overly dramatic, to get the point across).

Honestly ill agree with you...i mean im getting guild wars 2 I have the collectors edition paid off...but it just doesnt seem hardcore MMO to me....i tried tera it wasnt too bad.

Yes, many enthusiasts would, but economically the idea would fail badly. You'd have 2% of your customers willing to pay double (maybe), and 98% of your customers unwilling to (or unable to) buy a GTX 680 just to play it.
