Your answer is just above this post. wink.gif... basing your purchasing decision on user reviews is like tossing a coin, 99% of those writing the reviews can't tell a coil from a capacitor, much less a good PSU from a bad one. wink.gif

Askuraone, if you want to settle this once and for all you could open the power supply and upload pictures of the internals for me to analyze. That's pretty much my job, so I can tell you definitively what is wrong--or isn't wrong--with your power supply on a design and manufacturing level. And I can prove and back up what I say. Note opening your power supply will void your warranty; but I doubt Cool Power honors theirs anyway, just a hunch.

At first I thought that this product was defective, but then I learned about how it needs a motherboard

And for reference, it only has 6 positive reviews, and one is yours... This brings me back to the old saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I bet that thing supplies about 500W of dirty power, and at 501W the ripple looks like a EKG

Thread Starter
That PSU blows. Damn near ended up frying my GPU. I ended up getting a Corsair 850W. This was 3 months ago though.
