Contrary to belief, the Kinzu was/is a cheaper mouse to produce. wink.gif

I guess Razer products are a luck of the draw. I hear nothing but bad things about their stuff but I have a Black Widow Ultimate, Deathadder and Carcharias headset and they all work flawlessly and have since I bought them over a year ago. I love the Deathadder. Id try exchanging it for another and giving it one more shot because it really is a brilliant mouse.

Extended store warranties on mice and headsets are worth it. No RMA, just take it back and get a fresh one, maybe even a updated version after a year of use if it happens to fail.

I've got 2 years extended on my Deathadder, its 5 months old and so far no problems.

Also, be a dirtball like me and on day 729 you bring it in for a fresh one..

i dunno about razers customer support but i do know their products can be unreliable in the long run. actually of all the razer products ive had over the years, the deathadder is the only that hasnt failed on me. the deathadder is a good mouse so i wouldnt blame you if you replaced it with another one.

my recommendation is an logitech mx518 or g400 since they are both similar right handed mice. their customer support is excellent just in case you have problems down the road once its too late to return it to the store. i had an mx518 break on me and the rma process was simply me reading them the serial number off the bottom of the mouse and logitech sending me a brand new one in the mail without me having to send the broken one in.

I know, it's an incredibly simple design if you look at it. No side buttons means all they have to worry about is a basically two part shell with a sensor and internals. I see it on sale for 30~$ all the time on NCIX.

Bought a brand new Black Edition DA on sale for $30 awhile back, scroll wheel was kind of mushy to click but that issue went away after using the middle click for awhile.

However, the wheel did start making squealing noises (only occurs if I scroll really fast).. have since dumped the DA on my brother and I'm personally using an Imperator that I bought from an OCNer tongue.gif
