Yup I am dual screening. My main screen res is 1920x1080 and second screen is 1680x1050. I haven't really thought about two screens sucking lots of power unless you do some eyefinity setup..

Regardless of the results of that though you should still replace your power supply as it's an overrated 450W piece of mediocrity.
And CoolerMaster is not a quality brand, not on average anyway. Even there representatives have admitted that some of their units suck... And independent testing has confirmed this dozens of times.
Antec, Corsair, SeaSonic, XFX, NZXT, Kingwin, Rosewill, and OCZ are generally realistically rated and decent or better quality--though keep in mind that cheap units like Antec Basiq or Rosewill RV2 are cheap for a reason.
Or wait for EVGA NEX series PSUs to launch soon. wink.gif

Good call; BF3 is an absolute memory hog, in both vRAM and Sys memory.

OP, BF3 will constantly take up every single bit of my Sys memory (only have 4 GB) and vRAM if I go above all HIGH in-game settings. Plus you are running dual monitors.

I run BF3 all HIGH, AF x16, AA x4 and Post AA MEDIUM at 1440 x 900 and it runs fine. But, I will get up to ~95% Sys memory and ~95% vRAM usage regularly in multi-player. I dusted off my old 1280 x 1024 monitor to use as a secondary for Chrome, TeamSpeak 3, AfterBurner and Real Temp while in-game and I started having trouble; couldn't run my old settings--had to go MEDIUM. I'd use BF3 as the "standard" and start to test your in-game settings til they are running smoothly and suit your tastes. Also, make a BF3 profile in your nvidia control panel; there's a few tweaks you could do in there to help the game out, also.

And like Phaedrus2129 says, think about getting a new better psu. You've got a nice rig...would hate to see that Apevia take it with it should it decide to go.

Agreed, only thing working now is just lowering settings, that vram usage is always close to 95%... and that's just single player, I can't imagine multiplayer and my lousy internet connection.. (due to apartment bandwidth sharing and not able to go fiber because of structure of bldg.)

I am definitely going to get a new PSU next pay check.

Thanks for your input!thumb.gif

So everyone I couldn't wait next paycheck biggrin.gif. Reason being, I just kept getting blue screen of deaths in windows 7 desktop!!! Now to me, with plenty of experience, it all came down to a dying PSU. So I wen't to my local "Good Will" computer store, not the state side reference lol, and bought myself an Enermax 600w Platimax PSU. By all means this was not cheap, I think the most expensive PSU I ever bought (200 USD, had to convert the rate from yen) and at the 600wattage rate... I did my research before I bought it though. Modular PSU. http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4398/enermax_platimax_600w_power_supply_review/index.html

So to test it, I started off by turning everything to Ultra with dx11 and high texture package from Crysis two. Now, I love this PSU from the start, I actually played a full hour with my current sig rig overclocked!!! So to say, if anyone has problems it can come down to a bad PSU. This is my third personal PSU change since I known about computers ten years ago, and my first modular. Thanks everybody for your helpful thoughts!

Here are some pics!

Yes I know, cable management, but not worth it since it's sleeved and the case is outlandish to manage cables, LOL! tongue.gif And I'm able to close it of course!

My weekends, but mostly I go to the beach this time of year, which is across the street!biggrin.gif
