General Build Questions, Upgrading to Intel and cooling

Thread Starter
Hey guys!

I just made the decision of selling off my AMD 1090t and Asus Crosshair IV Formula motherboard in favour of the Asus Sabertooth Z77 and Intel Core i5 3570K. Basically, what do you guys think of my system and what can i improve. I have a few things that i need help with:

1. Is the Asus Sabertooth X77 a nice mobo for gaming. I love the look and the Intel Core i5 3570K i heard is the best value for gamers.

My current system besides the CPU and Mobo consists of:
MSI 6970 2GB
1tb Samsung F3
Corsair Dominator 4GB 1600mhz CL9
NZXT 810 White
OCZ Modxtreme 700w

Will these parts work well together and how long do you think it will last?

2. I ordered the H100 watercooler (sexy ;P) Do you think i should OC the i5 for better performance?

3. I want to use an SSD (not sure on size) to cache the boot drive (samsung f3) is the intel technology on the motherboard worth using as it seems like a good way to speed up my hard drive. Does it work well and what SSD should i buy that is cheap and good on value and the right size for the job? Once i get the ssd should i reformat the hard drive and start from scratch to improve performance?

BTW im 16 lol so not 100% sure on overclocking but i do have a very good knowledge or everything to do with my pc.

Cheers guys!

yes u should overclock and overclocking isn't difficult i recently learned a lot about it myself, just come back to the forums when you buy it and ask plenty of questions
