Ok, so i'm running all the stuff above + 2 Ceiling Lights from the same breaker 15A (1800W)

I don't know if my wiring is good up to 20A? Its a new construction just bought the condo last year.

120 x 15 is not the correct measurement. 80 percent of that number is the rated continuous load, which equates to 1440w. Your ceiling lights, assuming they're using real light bulbs, are probably pulling down 300 watts or more (8 40w bulbs between the two, as an example.)

If you want to figure out what size your wires are, open up the receptacle you would otherwise use for your computer and measure the size of the conductor with a set of calipers and compare your numbers to whatever AWG > inches/millimeter graph you can find on the internet.

Ok, so I'm going to sort of "necro-post" here.

I'm adding a 4th 7970 to my rig.

Question:
1. if I tune down my CPU OC to around 4.0 and turn down the GPU OC to 1000/1400 ( or stock), will I be able to "get away" with my AX1200 for the time being ?

Planning to get silverstone 1500w sometime in July

Have you ever measured how much power your computer is actually drawing in its current configuration?

You will not get away with an AX1200, unless you run everything stock which I doubt. I suggest at least 1350w.

I ran some bench lately with an Enermax Platimax 1350w, cards overclocked at 1300/1610. CPU max at 20% load and it was topping 1650w from the wall. Imagine if the CPU was at 100% load.

I wouldn't recommend a 1200w PSU wink.gif

Yeah, just dropped the $ on the card and the overoverpriced koolance block for it. My law school doesn't really help when it comes to budgeting:D
