Question about Quad Channel Memory CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 ?

Thread Starter
I want to buy Corsair CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 Quad Channel Memory (Set of 4 sticks of 4GB each) , but i wonder if this is gonna work with Intel P55 Platform (Asus Motherboard P7P55D-E PRO) , i am afraid that Memory RAM only 8GB Usable 4 DIMMs or maybe it doesn't work at all , or it can work but if i have to use only 2 DIMMs 4GB each.

thx.

your motherboard has 4 memory slots so its pretty logical that 4 sticks will work.
just dont go trying to turn on xmp because its the settings were intended for a socket 2011 system

I had the same issue here is how i fixed it.

Insert 8gb ram.
boot into bios
manually set speed to 1600Mhz
reboot with that 8gb to verify
now install 16gb. boot with it now.

now you can increase clock speed. spent 6 hours last night tinkering with this because i built a whole pc and i assumed it was a conflict or something.
