My friend finally got a wireless router and stuff so we will be laning up to play WoW and other various games but he needs a video card and he uses AGP. He wants to know what the top of the line bad boy is.

Gainward spec page here. Don't know what shops carry it though.

He's in the US.

As far I know, the Gainward brand is only sold in Europe and Australia.

Thee best? Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ (7900GT in AGP) It's tough to find in the states, but easy in Europe.

Best available here? Normal 7800GS or 7600GT, you choose. No overclocking, the 7800GS probably beats the 7600GT, but it probably isn't worth the added cost.

Bottom line? If he is an average person with an average budget, tell him to get the 7600GT, it will serve him well. Better hurry though, the 7600GT in AGP is disappearing.

Yeah he just told me he is willing to spend up to $150.00 on his video card, so with that being said...any more suggestions? and thanks for all the help by the way !!

Either the 7600GT or the X850XTPE would be the two most powerful cards. Be warned that the X850 would be more powerful then the 7600 in raw power but lacks 3.0shaders and HDR.
