I guess thats everybodys view. glad i got my 960t. does very well smile.gif hopefully will eventually switch to intel if amd no longer have any idea. will be a painful transition; my wallet will not be happy mad.gif

Like I said, I think the 960T is possibly the best processor on the market dollar for dollar. Great overclocker and a possible unlock to 6 cores. Pair it with a solid AM3+ motherboard and you can drop in Piledriver when it comes out. I think that is the best route for a budget build with an eye on performance. This way youll have the upgrade path to Piledriver but if you don't want to upgrade, you can invest $30 in a Hyper 212, overclock the 960's guts out, possibly unlock it to a 6 core and you'll have a lot of processing power for both games AND multithreaded applications.
