Would cut the cost down and I could use the case suggested

The wattage would be enough, whether or not they are quality units that will last is the more important question biggrin.gif.

In the event that you need the Hard disk, and optical drive, and one of your two PSU's are good enough, you could go for this processor and stick with the H61 motherboard I linked. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116399

It would bring your total to $476.92 before shipping.

The SB Pentium is still a fast processor, you just lose the hyperthreading functionality. It should still perform better than the llano you linked for what your dad needs it for.

Ok last time I'm asking if this is going to be better then i'll put out the extra money. Here's the build for my dad:
DVD Drive: ASUS 24X DVD Burner

RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB

OS: Windows 7 Home

SSD: Crucial M4 64gb

CPU/HDD Combo: Intel Core i3-2100/Seagate 500GB

Total: $528
