Will this work for power supply wires?

Thread Starter
Hey, was about to place an order to do custom power supply cables, and just wanted to make sure this wire would work.

From everything I could find 18awg would be best.

So will this stuff work?

It works out to be just about 4 cents a foot, around the cheapest I could find and very reasonable.

It doesnt exactly say 18awg, but idk

http://www.amazon.com/DB-Link-RW18BL500Z-Primary-Wire/dp/B000QU8M9A/ref=pd_sim_e_4

is it good?

Thanks smile.gif

Also, would this wire be okay to use for anything computer wiring related?

I don't see why it would not work. Looks like it is made for audio wire. Only thing I could see a problem with would maybe be the resistance of the this wire. I am no electrical engineer so I could not tell you if that will even matter.

It's remote wire which if I recall correctly is just for remote turn on of the amps from the headunit which isn't a large amount of current. Should have a decent strand count to handle the current of a PSU.

Let me know how flexible that is when you get it. I hate these stock power cables which are always bent over themselves and horrible stiff. Price is nice too.
