With stock settings of the Windforce, how are you guys gaming BF3 with everything MAXED at 1080p?

Any dips below 50?

2gb Vram enough?

At the moment BF3 works like crap for me, at least w/v-sync on. I even started a thread about it ... the card has plenty of power to hold 60fps steady with the game maxed out (4xMSAA, no FXAA) at 1920x1200, but ... well you can see the issue on my thread ...

Memory usage, in the SP at least, is only around 1100MB at these settings.

That is interesting to be honest.

I read your thread but I am guessing that this is a driver related issue. Did you try  BF3 with the new driver that came out today? 301.42 beta WHQL.

I would be really upset if SLI Windforce 670 runs the game crap compared to my sold 590.

Has anyone given the updated Gigabyte OC Guru II utility a try yet? An update went up last week it seems. AB still better?

Oh, I'm pretty much sure it's a driver issue. And nV seems to be well aware these cards (or the drivers for them) have some v-sync issues.

What's really weird is that this AM I just went back and played the exact same level that I did when I took the screenshot on the other thread ... and the problem wasn't there. The only difference was that I'd been playing the game for a couple hours prior to taking those readings last time, this time I'd just started. I *may* have updated drivers to the beta's (301.34) in the meanwhile but I'm not certain. I've not tried the 42's, no.

You wanna hear something REALLY weird though? Two times I started that level this AM, and TWICE the power in my entire house shut down after a few minutes of playing it. Then it came back on like 10 seconds later. It's the strangest thing, that's never happened in my house before. Then I played C2 for about an hour ... power didn't shut off. And it uses a lot more GPU power ... maybe just a coincidence, but it sure tripped me out when it happened that 2nd time while playing BF3.

Bf3 runs beautifully for me maxed at 1080p. With one card. Tried out adaptive vsync and will use it from now on. Butter smooth. But without I never date it dip below 60.

Giga 670 runs BF3 great for me. Everything capped, everything. Only thing I need to do before I play is cut out the 2nd monitor as it uses up too much memory. Stock OC that Giga ships it with too FYI.

It would probably successfully flash, and there's been reports that it'll increase available power limit % (not that this is useful .... yet), but if the hope was to unlock shaders I'd say the chances are 0%, indeed.

It seems that I can't push the core clock offset much past the point I have it now, definitely not to +150 without artifacts in Heaven bench. Mem clock seems limitless at this point though.

As fast as this card is, I actually get some lag in very messy areas while playing D3. Dips to 10 fps! Possible driver issue? I have a friend with a 680 which also experiences this. Actually many of my friends with cards that should be overkill for D3 all lag when things get messy and D3 shouldn't be that demanding.

At what res? At max at 1080p I use 1500mb max. With a second 1080p monitor on. I hate how the second monitor likes to go black all the time though.
