Is 1 hour enough? I remember playing BF3 for 1 hour, then I left Heaven for 3 hours, when I cameback Heaven crashed redface.gif Is it possible windows goes into saving mode or something including GPU causing this?
In theory Heaven should run for 24hrs without crashing?
Last night I played 1.5 hrs of BF3 last night (pretty intense 64 and 48 men maps) and everything was fine. I'm just affraid to run Heaven for extended period of time... LOL.. (maybe I don't want to know the truth).
Maybe the adaptive sync is helping BF3 by throttling GPU usage to disply constant 60FPS, which should lower GPU temps. Since Heaven doesn't do that, maybe I do have unstable o/c on my hands... I should probably try other games... or run BF3 without adaptive vsync for few hours.
Also have anyone of you had problems with starting 3dMark11 basic? Even at stock I was getting blue screen right after clicking to start testing? My o/c IB 3570k seems to be fine everywhere else... maybe I will try to reinstall 3dmark...

From my own experience, BF3 is more demanding than 3DMark11 or UnigineHeaven !
If you disable vsync, you may see the game crash (black screen) while it is stable for hours in Heaven ...

Once again, I seem to be stable in BF3 at +55/+200 while I can go in UnigineHeaven for hours at +70+250.
Anyway, no other games I have (*cough* console ports *cough*) is asking me the real power my GTX670 can give !! So I'm fine for a few years (my old HD4870 2GB runs BF3 in LOW 1920x1200 @ 60fps)

I can back this up as I have experienced the same thing with benching in Heaven at 100% stable to BF3 driver crashes all day er'day.

thanks guys wink.gif

I'll disable adaptive vsync to see what happens...

So, I am unable to OC past like +80/50 without the driver crashing in Heaven or playing games. I see others going to like +100/800. Did I just get unlucky with my card? I have 850 Watt PSU so I don't think its power issue. My temps are low on the card and MB, so I don't think that's an issue either. I have used different drivers, up to the newest 301.42 I think. I mean its a nice bump from my previous 560Ti, but I would like to get a little more out of this card if I could.

Looking back it seems I am not the only one with this issue:

Mine won't go pass 65/160 which puts me around 1267. I dropped it down to 50/150. I get 1254 at those settings. Plays Diablo 3, Batman Arkham asylum, Batman Arkham City and Skyrim perfectly. :-)

What's your overall boosted clock speed?

It seems to crash when I hit +90 MHZ for GPU, so it seems that is the highest I can reach. The memory seems to crash at +50 MHz.. I guess its not as bad as I thought, but its strange that others can clock the memory so much higher.

I ran a single Asus TOP 670, my max OC hit 1308 core and 1818 memory. Very impressive and very close to the 680 I blew up.

NVM on my bench i didnt have 16x :-(

So I re-timed the GPU only with IC 24 tim. So far my temps are the same so I know I didn't botch up the application. It will require some time for it to cure but I honestly think I should see about a 2 degree drop in temperature. I have so far been able to increase my core 20 mhz higher, not impressive I know. However I also modified my fan curve and am now able to hit 750 on the memory! Memory on these cards are either severely underclocked or just great at going above specs. My temps at 75% fan speed seldomly rise above 55 degrees but never go above 57. With that in mind either one or two things with my card for the core are true. One, the temperatures are not being reported as accurately as what they really are or two, I have hit a wall to the point that the only thing that would make it stable is more voltage. I am more than happy with my oc on the memory but am still a little disappointed on the core as I was hoping to hit ~1250. I will probably go with water sometime later this year and might do the volt mod as well.

On a seperate note, I am really dumbfounded at the difference between pci 2 gen and pci 3 gen. I have about a 6 fps drop when I switch from pci 2 gen to pci 3 gen. Does anyone have any information on this? I'm going to poke around in the bios a little more. I might have missed something.

Max 24/7 OC @1381/3602. Temps are usually below 60c @ 55% fan speed. I can run Heaven for a lil bit at 1400Mhz before it crashes. 338
