Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Version *HANDS ON* - Page 133

MSI just announced their GTX 670 "Power Edition". Wonder in how long they will be available and if the voltage will be truly unlocked.
http://event.msi.com/vga/power_edition/NV_GTX670-Power-Edition.htm#
I would love one of these but who knows how long until they reach retailers. At first I was waiting for the 7850 "Power Editon" to ship or the 7870 "Hawk" but 2 months after announcement neither made it to retailers and I jumped on a this card.

highly doubt it, i'll go as far as to say i'm 99% sure it won't have unlocked voltage as we knew it before kepler.

Hey folks

If i pair up a Gigabyte 670 and lets say a reference 670 such as MSI or Zotac, would there be issues?

I believe I can pull the reference MSI or Zotac 670 to the gigabyte core clock speeds easily.

You can pair any 670 with any 670. No worries there. Just won't look cool wink.gif

haha lol thats true

The thing is there is a retailer here in Turkey who normally sells anything +10% more expensive. However once in a month they carry a 25% off sale on everything And I can grab a 670 cheaper than any other retailer, SO far they only had MSI and Zotact 670s.

I hope that they will carry Gigabyte 670 soon.

Are you able to put a 4GB 670 in with a 2GB 670? That way you could get SLI with 4 gigs of VRAM instead of 2.. is that possible?

I believe that memory is mirrored in SLI/CF so that additional 2GB on the 4GB card will be wasted. Might be wrong, somebody will confirm I hope.

Crappy. I wish I'd known that about SLI before buying my first 670. 2GB of Vram I guess is being used up by games like Max Payne and BF3.. although I doubt I ever go that nuts to set EVERYTHING on ultra.. that is kind of sad to know that it only uses the VRAM from one board =/
