I will OC the hell out of the card first.

Question folks. I OCed my GPU +85... The card is stable on tests and Battlefield 3, but gives error in Bioshock 1 or Borderlands.

I cant really understand why.

What do you mean by gives errors?
Artifacts? Driver crash?

What kind of clocks do you get on average and with what ASIC?

the games would just crash.

Bioshock 1 black screen

Borderlands sudden GPU usage issue. The game is capepd at like 10fps and i need to turn it off tu fix it.

These only happen with some basic OC levels. If i OC a little bit less than no problems.

Updating Post.

OC x Benchs: 1130Mhz / 1752Mhz (7008Mhz QDDR)
OC x 24/7: 1059MHhz / 1652Mhz
GPU Offset: +130
RAM Offset: +500
Max Temp: 61º
Max GPU Clock: Kepler Boost (91) + Boost Clock (1209) = 1300Mhz

Hmmm, if lowering your overclock fixes the issue one would thing that was the problem.

For me with these cards BF3 has been weird. I've had about 4 kepler cards. Sometimes I think I have found a stable clock because I
played BF3 for a couple hours without issue. Then the next day I can't make it a whole round at the same clock without the game locking up.

So sometimes you may think you are stable but aren't totally. Its strange though because it seems like BF3 should be quite a bit more demanding than the games that are giving you issues.

Maybe someone else will jump in with an opinion.

Hey guys, I also got a GB GTX 670 oc edition. Right now I'm at +90 on core and +500 on mem. It is stable on BF3, played hours and hours and no crashes. Tried different games (Skyrim, GTA4, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Saints Row The Third, etc etc) and they all seems to work fine. No stuttering, or other artifacts. Just plain ol' performance. I haven't tried going further than +90 on core, it seems you guys are getting more than +100. At what increase in frequency will I get atleast a 5-10fps increase other than +90 on core. Am i going to get more performance if I had it at around +150 on core?
Sorry for my bad sentence construction, english isn't my native language. I hope you guys can understand that biggrin.gif

EDIT: I'm trying to get the best performance and setting for 24/7 gaming thumb.gif

+90 doesn't help because all cards boost at stock to different values. So +90 for you may mean 1200 and for me 1280.

Run afterburner or whatever OC software you use while loading the gpu with something intensive like BF3 or heaven. The graph in AB should show the max your core hit. Thats your true OC. As for FPS I can't tell you exactly how many MHZ will give you what. If you look at your stock boost under load and then your max OC boost under load you can find the % of performance gain you got. But with these cards you can't hurt them pushing clocks since there is no voltage control.

So I say get the most out of it. Just find your max stable clock and go with it.

I'm so pissed!

I thought overclocking past 1200Mhz was awesome. Without OC and out of the box from my Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce it boosts itself to about 1110Mhz to 1145Mhz core. My temps in bf3 never exceed 50C at 48% fan speed and in Deus Ex, it runs at 35C to 40C.

My highest possible OC is at 1240MHz core (boost), I just boosted memory to 507Mhz and haven't ventured further than that. Max core OC is +125Mhz. Other's that boost to +50 get over 1200Mhz, yet my 125MHz only gets 1240MHz max! I never get any artifcacts at all, it runs RIDICULOUSLY COOL! Mine idles at like 20-24C, but then again I have very very good airflow from my full tower. Power target boosted to 112% and for some reason in performance log in EVGA precision my power never exceeds 80% out of the 150% on the graph even when playing BF3?

I'm so confused why am I getting **** clocks. I have a Corsair TX650W PSU ???

1240 is not a bad clock. Its actually pretty good. Just because your temps are good doesn't mean the clock keeps going up. Thats not how it works.
With the power limit thats how these cards are since they have better power delivery. I don't think most go above 110%. I think some people have said theirs doesn't go above 100%.
