I thought overclocking past 1200Mhz was awesome. Without OC and out of the box from my Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce it boosts itself to about 1110Mhz to 1145Mhz core. My temps in bf3 never exceed 50C at 48% fan speed and in Deus Ex, it runs at 35C to 40C.
My highest possible OC is at 1240MHz core (boost), I just boosted memory to 507Mhz. Max core OC is +125Mhz. Other's that boost to +50 get over 1200Mhz, yet my 125MHz only gets 1240MHz max! haven't ventured further than that. I never get any artifcacts at all, it runs RIDICULOUSLY COOL! Mine idles at like 20-24C, but then again I have very very good airflow from my full tower. Power target boosted to 112% and for some reason in performance log in EVGA precision my power never exceeds 80% out of the 150% on the graph even when playing BF3?
I'm so confused why am I getting **** clocks. I have a Corsair TX650W PSU ???

Hate to tell you but there is nothing wrong with those clocks some people can barely get over 1200 and +300 memory so i would consider yourself lucky.

TDP on these cards are alot lower than other brands, if you want to get it near %100 use MSI kombuster stress test running at 720 in a window that made mine use nearly 100% but in games 60-70%

Do you think with later drivers GTX 670 overclocking will improve? Cause the games I play never actually crash, its the actual Nvidia display driver. I just feel like it has soo much more to offer and I just can't seem to pull it off.

2 questions. Do you think I could get better oc's with MSI compared to EVGA precison?

After each OC should I reboot then attempt an application? Or is it equal to just keep adjusting by minimising a running application ??
I have seem the exact results with MSI and EVGA software.

After each OC do you mean after every driver crash? Or every time you raise the clock? A crash its probably best to reboot. If your just bumping clocks no need. Its easiest to just run Heaven in windowed mode so you don't need to keep minimizing.

I'm currently on the 301 driver but from what i read over clocking shouldn't be affected from Driver version.

The display driver crash is a good indication of to much overclock, the way I do O/C's is raise core till crashes then lower down till stable, then do memory and repeat. Then when i feel it's good just use those settings and see if stable in games benchmarks etc.

No need to restart after OC adjustment I actually do mine while the games running, restart if you get a crash or driver failure but.

I use MSI mainly because of the G15 keyboard support and the monitoring offered but both are nearly the same they both came from the same guy who wrote the original Rivetuner.

What's the best clock freq in performance? is 1200mhz the best way to stay on without getting much of a performance gain with 1215-1250mhz. I never touched the power limit so I'm either going to stay with +90mhz with 1215mhz on boost and 1752mhz memory, I don't know how much performance will i lose if i try +50mhz. I tried running MSI kombustor Run X-score 1920x1080, max boost i got was 1250mhz if i have my core clock at +100mhz.

How does this look guys- I was too lazy to read through the guide and this is what I have

Gigabyte 670 OC WindForce

AfterBurner Settings and Results from Heaven Run Maxed out 1080p

Core 1238 Memory 3208

Powerlimit 112%

Core clock + 100

Memory clock + 200

Let me know what you think- temps were 55C max and fan speed was around 60%. Is the powerlimit OK or too much for this type of OC?

Stock the card does 1121 mhz during Heaven.

I've done some more testing with memory clock. But I'm able to increase it to 600+ offset making my memory at 3602Mhz which is 7204MHz effective. I've noticed a much smoother gaming experience. Although im limited to my core clock offest at 129+ is it good to have memory offest set to 600MHz offset + ?? It also runs stable..

My Gigabyte GTX 670 OC edition oc'd at:
Core clock: 1111Mhz (+131) boost to 1190Mhz and Kepler boost to 1280Mhz
Mem clock: 1902Mhz (+800)

Run Heaven 3.0v Basic never went over 55c

Is this a good overclock? I never overclock nvidia cards before..

EDIT: Forgot to add this too.
