It's not a issue as the only way to get PCIE 3.0 going is to have it enabled in a Gen 3 Z68, Z77 or newer Motherboard & have a Ivy Bridge CPU e.g. 3570 etc

Hopefully by the time you upgrade it will be sorted.

That backplate looks pretty good. How hard was it to put on? Any special steps?

Hi guys!

I have a gygabyte gtx670 wf3 with F4 bios. I can get the core clock to 1200mhz, but sometimes the gpu hits 70ºC and throttles and my drivers crash (this playing guild wars 2).

Will the modded bios to 1.21V remove the temperature throttle? When the GPU throttles the voltage gets to 1.162 and the drivers crash because of this, i think.

When in the 1.21V bios the GPU throttles to 1.162V@70ºC?

Can i flash the modded bios with the zotac program @ windows or i have to go dos?

Have you changed your fan profile? I think it is safe to say that you would have the hottest GB card here. What are you ambient temps?

I play GW2 as well and I haven't cleared 56C.

Yes... Fans at 100% with 26ºC ambient temperature. I got a case with 5 8cm fans. 2 in and 3 out. Also i got a 2500k@4.8ghz.

I wanna know if the modded bios removes the thermal throtle or at least throttles to a superior voltage than 1.162V.

The GB F4 VMOD bios will remove the thermal throttle. Don't forget to reset your OC settings before flash and yes u can use Firestorm.

I forgot.. Can i update directly to F4 modded bios from my gtx670 F4? I read in another topic that i need to downgrade to F1 first.. Is it true?
