For real though. Looks like in the end you might lose 5% ?? performance maybe. Too bad once these drop the value of a 680 will plummet. But after shipping to someone and tax for me in cali I would probably break even.

Thanks Oridin for helping out with the second 670 smile.gif

Right now I plan to run two sets of tests, one on stock and one with extra juice via afterburner.
* 3dMark standard test on stretch.
* Unigine Heaven demo with settings given from this forums official top30 thread.

I have; BF3, SWTOR, Mass Effect 3, Serious Sam 3, Most half life based games (Dead Island, Left for dead 2), Starcraft 2. Let me know if any of them have standardized benchmarks and how to access them.

If there are any other standardized demos available, list them and I'll try my best to get a run on them.

No, no, let them return them. There are people out there that would be more than happy to have them and actually play games with them, not fret over 800 points in a benchmark app.

@Op Thanks for taking the time to do this.

If you could post some numbers of BF3, personally i'd prefer something from a 64man online game.

One key point that I see a lot of people overlooking is the fact that this is a Non-Reference board. Most 680's are reference.

We don't know if this has better VRM's, which it probably has. What we do know is that it has a non-reference PCB that's for sure.

My point is until we see 670 reference benches, then and only then can you compare it to reference 680's. This is obviously a beast of a card!

ETA for benchmarks will be around 8hrs from now!

Awesome! Thanks. thumb.gif

Hope this confirms/dispels things.

Thanks for the backup smile.gif

Hmm, It's interesting that your +180 to core clock in afterburner see's your boost hit 1331, while my +161 hits a little higher boost. (and for the record, that was my highest possible clock with full run through - yes, somtimes it crashed)
Can you try to get a full run through around +161 and check boost clock?

Now than I think about it, I did observe strange results when trying to hit max OC. What I found is that the 'steps' when using afterburners core clock 'slider', resulted in a far more stable run than if I typed the mhz directly. What I mean is, the slider moves in increments of 5 or 6 mhz (cant recall exactly), but if you deviate from those steps, it seems to be far less stable.

Can you tell me what PSU you're using? For reference, I have a corsair TX850. Is it possible that a more 'true' / stable supply of power is translating to a higher boost? Is nvidia's boost smart enough to detect voltage wanes and boost lower to ensure stability?
