Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Version *HANDS ON* - Page 37

Sweet mother of mercy....this thread...got even MORE interesting since last night!

Still baffled with the 670's performance right now...i am DEFINITELY grabbing a pair of those when they release this week!!! Still going to keep my 690, but how can one NOT be intrigued by the 670 enough to NOT buy it, if even just to run some benches with?!?! tongue.gif

I'm surprised that it has 8+6-pin PCIE connections (Like the WindForce GTX 680). Hmm...

Can I see a PCB shot of the card, heatsink-side-up, just above the PCIE interface?

So I haven't read every reply to this thread, but do these 670's support Surround with just 1 card, like the 680?
Anyone know when the NDA is lifted?

Wow, martyr's gtx 670 at stock clocks beats my gtx 680 at max oc in the heaven benchmark. If this ISIN'T driver related, the gtx 680 is going back. And I'll probably go back to AMD. Too bad, this was my first Nvidia card to, I was so excited about it.

That's another very important thing to note.

Gigabyte's 670 model appears to be a non-reference PCB, so they might have upped some components from the reference PCBs, which we all know are HALF the size of a normal 10/11" 680 PCB. I am very curious to see the OC-ability of reference versus non-reference 670s when they are released this week.

That said, judging by what the OP and his friend have provided...Gigabyte OC'd 670s should sell like hotcakes on release day. 1350mhz+ core speeds that perform better than what max OCs on 680s can do? Nvidia has a lot of explaining to do...or needs to release drivers that somehow unleashes more power within the 680s, because this is not going to be acceptable if Kepler's boost OC matters more than an actual, entire SM of 192 cores being removed on a 670 and yet still beating a 680. just because of the clocks...

True. Their 580 had 8+6 while the 570 was two 6's.

This just seems like a sweet-ass non-reference. But the reference cards will tell the whole story.
