There's not some variation of MVP running on these 670 benches is there headscratch.gif? That would explain all too much.

Lucid VirtueMVP (White Paper) allows the iGPU to take the task of intructions off the dedicated GPU working in conjunction together to render graphics. It really helps in benchmark scores. Z68 & Z77 boards have it built in. Your GA-Z68XP-UD3R has it as a function.

Futuremark is working on a version that will show if Lucid VirtueMVP is turned on or not during a bench. It's screwing with the comparisons with other scores submitted as a whole who don't have it on vs do have it on.
Quote:
Futuremark is working with Lucid to update 3dmark.com to clearly indicate whether Virtu MVP was running or not for each submitted score and to help you understand the performance benefits of Virtu MVP technologies as measured by 3DMark and our other PC performance benchmarks. The update is expected to be ready in April. Until then, we recommend that you manually add MVP information to the name and/or description of your 3DMark scores to help other users better understand your setup.

Personally I'm too new with my board and haven't enabled it as I haven't had a deticated GPU while I await my next card. In games it dosent help much as of yet from those who reported using it. Seems in benches it does amount to a good difference.

Chances are if you have it set to default it's not enabled. Might explain the scores. I'm positive it's a great card but a good idea to check.

I loaded bios and this was indeed enabled. I turned it off and ran a stock settings test which resulted in a slightly better gpu score of 9827

After more testing, it was clear that my max OC and thus score remained unchanged.

Hi guys, newbie to the forums here - I'm thinking of buying a 680, but obviously this changes all that. Sadly, I can't process 56 pages of posts, so can anyone give me a good summary of what's happened so far? Thank you!

What sort of warranty do get with this card over in AUS? Cheers.

not all z68 boards have it, my board doesn't have it as the iGPU functionality is disabled on this particular board.

Thanks for checking that out. Confirms without a doubt your scores. thumb.gif

I have not read every single page of this thread, but why does a stock card @ 980MHZ clocks up to 1201.9 MHZ? Did i miss something or is the boost clock of the 670 better than the 680
