Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Version *HANDS ON* - Page 65

The Gigabyte's were sold out so I took a leap of faith and bought the galaxy one.

I've been afraid of buying Galaxy but after some research I've heard nothing but good
things about them.

I managed to grab one of these today. Has anyone dealt with Gigabyte customer service? I've never really owned any of their stuff.

I'm not going to risk cap/coil whine on the Sapphire card (been reported quite a bit on many 7970s) for a card that in many cases under performs this card unless clocks are pushed.
Get em while they're hot!

But it's just hilarious how some own 680's and now want to upgrade to 670's because of stupid numbers it's honestly stupid if you look at the whole picture. Enjoy your 680 or 680's and go play some freaking video games. I realize this is overclock.net pursuit of performance aka overclocking, but it's turning into Overclock.net the pursuit of ignorance lol. If you want real performance keep ur 680's or 670's until real kepler comes out if you care that much about benchmark scores. One guy said he wants to sell his 690 now and get 2 670's lol don't know if the guy was being sarcastic or not.
Waits to be flammed lol.

Indeed. I don't know what kind of actual game experience people think they are missing out on between these cards. Literally I don't know because I don't have one, but something tells me it's not worth throwing yourself in front of a bus.

gtx 670 sli will probalby get equal or better performance compared with 690. Save $200 off price. Plus he could probably flip the 690 for $1100 - 1300 on ebay. looking at potential savings of 200-450 for equal performance. That's a win in my book. however is it worth the time? to each his own.

Anyone confirm that the 680 Gigabyte OC model with the three fans uses the exact same pcb as the 670 version? If so that means I could just slap on a 680 block..
