Hm, so I had the 680's in ebay for two days and they didn't sell despite being the lowest-priced cards on there. Bumped the price up a bunch to what most of them are listed at, and bam, they both sold within a couple of hours at a good profit instead of just break-even now. I don't understand people... I guess they assumed something was "wrong" due to the low original price LOL.

Unfortunately, one of my two Gigabyte 670 OC's is defective, so I'm going to have to catch it in-stock at amazon again and get the first one returned... frown.gif.

Didn't you say something about one of your gigabytes didn't want to match clocks in SLI mode? Or something like that? Or did it completely take a dump just now?

I should be getting mind next week...crossing fingers that it works out of the box great

that sucks boss...well that kinda rules out the fact that both cards weren't syncing correctly, even though you had the sync button on

me personally...I'm looking forward to a decent overclocker...it doesn't have to in the top 10 max OC's or whatever....if both my cards can get to 1200mhz-ish and not crash or the fan get stupid loud...then I'll be happy...I can't see that extra 50mhz to 100mhz being helpful in a realistic gaming scenario

Yeah, the extra bit is always nice but so long as you get a decent OC the difference is pretty small from the relative gain. The working card I have has been gaming all day and night at 1271mhz boost solid, BF3, SWTOR, etc. perfectly (also tossed on a modest memory oc of +215). I haven't tried higher with it yet for stability testing but it was running 1300 for a few without crash.

So, I saw this thread....
http://www.overclock.net/t/1256514/strange-results-when-overclocking-gtx-670-gigabyte/0_40#post_17233390

Seems precisionX 3.02 is bugged and causing crashes/other issues for me with the cards, while afterburner works fine. I thought one of the cards was bum due to the software problem on that.... afterburner 2.2.1 is working 100% fine now even oc'd, whereas precisionx was causing crashes even stock.

As I stated in that thread...
"Thank goodness I saw this thread before the UPS pickup comes that I had scheduled for the card I thought was defective due to this issue, of the two! Now I can turn the UPS man away and enjoy my SLI!"

The cards still clock a bit differently automatically, but no crashing etc. now. The "low" card is definitely a weaker OC'er, but oh well. smile.gif

Nice! My "high" card can run around that speed in single-card configuration, but SLI mode of course limits me to the worse-clocking of the two cards I have, and that one is running at around 1210mhz rock-stable... might try clocking it higher later, but I'm happy now.

That graphics score is awesome, 6% better than my 680 @ stock. These 670s are very impressive cards. Congrats, looks like you got great OC'er right there.

Nice....So all you did was change from Precision X to MSI Afterburner?

Still sucks how both cards aren't synced together...haha that would drive me nuts kinda
