Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Version *HANDS ON* - Page 84

For 3DMark 11, are you guys using centered or stretched for the scaling mode? I noticed that when I use the stretched setting, I get 400 more points than I do in centered mode. Also, it seems that running in centered mode limits the FPS to 60? Anyone else experiencing this?

Does anyone know what clock it takes for a 670 to match a 680? Anyone care to post a 3dmark11 gpu score at 1200 on the core.

Holy Moly. This is my first trigger pulled on a current gen video card. I am upgrading from a hand me down GTX 280, and that was a replacement last year for a 4830. SOo... after scanning this thread I just randomly downloaded MSI afterburner and overclocked until it felt like it couldn't. Weirdly, I set the Memory to +200 but it seems to cap out at +101 on GPUZ? Not sure why there possibly because of DDR? I have no idea, I'll post pics. I was able to get +122 Core, +202 (shows as 100?) Mem.

Fan speed never went over 48% on MSI Kombuster stress.. Temp never went over 71 degrees, my old card would hit 90 degrees on stock settings playing Skyrim. This thing is an absolute Beast.

I actually held off on clocking it any further until I had some responses to this cuz I really have no idea what i am doing. As far as I can tell, I've had absolutely no artifacts or errors.. it still runs cool as dirt, and my temps never got high at all. What a beast.

Just to follow up.. I was playing BC2 and getting weird frames. I have a 120 hz monitor, but was getting about 70-100 frames the whole time whether at FULL everything settings maxed or everything on low.. had a hard time getting 120 for some reason, bc2 is like that I guess.

However, I did experience my first crash at +128/+202, I turned that down to +100/+186, we'll see how this goes.

I'm gonna order one of these today i think, just wondering would you recommend the Gigabyte GTX 670 OC over a Gigabyte GTX 680 OC because of the high price difference?
Also, is the Gigabyte GTX 670OC version the one with 980mhz clock as it doesn't specify if it's the OC version or not on the website i'm buying from T_T
