Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Version *HANDS ON* - Page 91

I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere buried in the 90 pages, but I'm curious what the max fan speed and temps were when these benches took place?

Primarily on the 220 runs.

i think thats a fantastic score man , especially with the core 2 quad , my i5-750 and the card at 1301 boost total and +500 mem got 9419 . I think you have better memory on your card im going to try knocking the mem down and benching when i get home.

Does anyone know if running dual monitors affects your 3dmark score ?

A lot of times I disable my second monitor when benching. 3dmark likes to fail for me because it says it lost focus of the window. But honestly I can't say its really done much for my score. You would think it would help though.

Hey guys what are max temps on these cards and are they fairly quiet.

I had a Kuhler 920 on my 680 but I am thinking of not using it if I get an aftermarket cooler.

I may have spoke too soon. I experimented a little bit more and after setting the memory to +700 and the core to +115 I got a memory clock of 3704mhz and a core clock of 1266mhz. With those speeds my graphics score went up to 9926. I'm worried my card isn't up to par. I was looking around and many people seem to be getting over 10,000 on their graphics score.

My card has never gone above 69C with the fan on auto. The max the fan speed has gone is less than 50% and I don't ever hear it when I'm using it. It's audible at 100% although it's not the jet-engine sound like the reference coolers. I can't imagine the card needing to ever go there anyway being how cool it runs.

69c huh. It throttles at 70 so I was hoping for better. Maybe with a better fan profile. It would be lower.

The latest 0.6.2 version crashes on start-up for me. So im still using 0.4.2, but i am using the latest cpu-z.

377

are their any other programs i can use to see if i get any different readings?

Any one else have any idea why I'm getting this weird reading? And also... my nvidia control panel freezes up when i try to run it. It force closes every time i try to open it. I'm thinking about formatting and doing a clean install of win7 since i put all the new components in (cpu, gtx 670,ram). But that shouldn't help me with my gpu-z readings should it?

In SLI they may run at lower core clocks, I know because I tested them individually with high overclocks and when I put them in SLI, they won't run at the same high clocks without crashing.

Yeah, SLI typically lowers the overall max OC...what you might find stable at 1240mhz with a single card, you may only find 1215mhz stable with SLI
