I was actually able to get it to run at +1000MHz, but was artifacting like crazy, didn't crash though. Going to do some more to see what I can push it to, keeping it stable with no artifacts. +850mhz had some artifacting, thinking +820-825 will be the limit.

nice work dude !!! Im starting to think i need to use afterburner as i get diminishing returns using precision x and other people report it being more unstable as well.

as for temps i think i saw 67 once or twice but usually below 65 when playing games for a long time. I have a raven 2 tho , its a great case airflow wise , well any wise i love it.

as for the korean monitors , i love my Yamikasi Catleap. I was surprised alot just by the difference and IPS panel makes , the colors pop so much , was also impressed with how much bigger 2560x1440 feels than 1900 x 1200.

Guys, guys, guys.... both Afterburner and Precision are just reskinned versions of the original Rivatuner. They do the same thing.

I dont buy that Precision is actually increasing the volts unless you confirmed with a DMM...

Ok, had to move the core down to +155, mem still at +840. BF3 & B:AC both stable after a good 20 mins of gameplay each.

So looks like my stable 24/7 OC will be 1344/2688/3848 @ 1.175v These cards are amazing. thumb.gif

New here but not to the scene. Just got this card, gonna install it tonight.

Are these overclocks using the cooler that comes with it (unless otherwise mentioned)?

It's rock solid stable. I've played BF3, Crysis 2 and MW3 for about an hour each. Ran Heaven for 7 hours with no crash.

What are you getting for a 3dm11 score at those clocks?

More or less true in the sense that both use the RT statistics server to do the graphs, and both are going to OC the cards via the same method (ergo you're not likely to be able to OC further on one than the other, all things equal).

HOWEVER, each app has their own code w/regards to how they address the voltage controller of a given card. This is why one must have (at or above) a certain version of one of these apps in order to activate voltage control on their cards.

My sense in this particular case is that the latest Precision X 'knows how' to force voltage to 1.175 on the voltage controller installed on the GB 670, whereas the latest AB does not. That is 100% and completely possible, despite them both being very similar in most other ways ... adding 'support' for new cards and their VRM's is a big part of why new versions of these apps come out thumb.gif

And I really see no reason to not trust what the graphs are telling me in terms of what voltage my card is running.

I hear what you are saying Brett. I guess until I see someone with an substantial increase in their OC based on upping software voltage, I remain skeptical.

This being said, I am more and more inclined to waterblock my card now for the inevitable breakthru on Kepler voltage adjust... biggrin.gif

Yeah, even if it's actually effective in raising the top voltage from 1.162 to 1.175, it may not make that much difference in terms of OC'ing ability. I'm guessing maybe 15-30MHz at most. Which, when you're already at like 1300 ... isn't gonna do much. That's why I'm just leaving mine at the 1.162v it tops out at in AB for 24/7. It still OC's stellar, and runs nice and cool/quiet thumb.gif
