i5 3570k with H100 stock.. 20c diff between core 1 and core 4

Hey guys just finished up a build for my brother, installed a 3570k with a H100 no overclock, Idle temps at the moment are 30c on core 1 26c on core 2, 20c on core 3 and finally 10c on core 4. I have tried resetting the block multiple times and still a huge variance in temps between the cores. Also temps on load after about 10 minutes of prime were 50c core 1 44c core 2 43 on core 3 and 39 on core 4.. any tips will help thanks guys.

Whoa. 20c seems a big difference. My sandy has about 5c difference between cores but I don't know if this is normal or not for ivy. What TIM and application method are you using? Does the spread look good when you take the cooler off?

yeah, I don't get it I used the thermal paste that already came applied to the H100 block, very strange

I think it's more of a sensor issue than TIM. You said core 1 26c and core 4 10c. Unless your ambient room temperature is actually 10c, then I really don't see any reason why it will be to low. Your load temperature looks great so I wouldn't worry too much about it. biggrin.gif

I agree with this, those differences are huge to be TIM.. have you also tried different monitoring software?
