On-topic: This is absurd. I hope I don't have to buy any more games from EA in the future.

Yeah I think there may be a couple people on EA's payroll here, I simply ignore them.

Yep I haven't bought an EA game in years and will continue to do so until I see a turn around with their business ethnics and privacy issues. I agree with Notch even tho I don't play Minecraft.

They're games, why would you label them indie and non indie anyways? All you should be concerned about is whether or not they're actually good games.

And when did Notch become the spokesperson of every single gamer alive?

Disagree. Strongly.

I stopped supporting greedy business tactics and you should too. It's a loss for all consumers.

Indie isn't saving gaming. Gaming was never dying to begin with. Notch is just a crappy coder that made it big off of someone else's idea. He gets way too much credit and holds himself way too highly.

The only thing Notch is right about is that EA games are not technically indie. There wasn't any need to be overdramatic and state they are killing the industry...lol

EA isn't killing gaming, it's the new wave of gamers who want simple games with min. skill

EA can DIAF. The last straw was forcing me to buy ME3 on Origin vs. allowing me the option of using my chosen and preferred platform, Steam. I only did it because I felt it was a title deserving of my money, and I didn't want to pirate a Bioware game. That's not gonna work anymore EA, not with me. Release on Steam, or... screw you, basically.

This..

Who cares if EA does this.

ZOMG! EA released an "indi game bundle" and are competing with other indie developers that aren't EA affiliated. Because of this, I hate EA!!! /sarcasm

Seriously guys. I don't like EA for many reasons but settle down. Who cares about this. Before you get your panties in a bunch because "EA thinks they are an indie developer and they don't even know what an indie game is by definition." According to Wikipedia, there is no definition!!!

Wiki: "There is no exact widely-accepted definition of what constitutes an "indie game".[4] However, generally indie games share certain commonalities. Indie games are developed by individuals, small teams, or small independent companies."
So basically EA doesn't make the games. "Small teams, or small independent companies" make the games and EA sells them. Boo hoo. Come on guys, settle down.

What EA does is heavily exploit there financial power to push out crappier games every year to please the increasingly mainstream gaming community. If anything, blame everyone who pays full price on Call of Duty every year.

I think it is...I mean nearly every AAA game is a sequel. Nearly all the innovation is coming from the Indie market.

And someone else's idea? If you mean infiniminer.....Yeah, that and Minecraft aren't really alike. It's like saying the iPhone got big off WM6.5...Sure, WM was there first and has a few similarities but they're still completely different.

The thing that annoys me about ME3 is the whole "Yeah, want a good ending? DLC TIME."
