Ok, so my buddy wants to buy my 6950 and i'm using that as an excuse to buy a better card. So what should I get? I'm thinking 670, any ideas?

Edit, ok I need even more help from the community. My 2500k is locking the multiplier at x43 so no matter what I set it to it wont overclock past 4300ghz. Yes my processor used to go all the way to x48 with no issues. What the heck is going on with my i5?!

Edit: Solved, It was gigabytes software, EasyTune 6 that was messing with my multiplier.

Get a GTX 670. Try and increase the bus speed on your i5 if your multiplier is fixed to get a better overclock

Do you know which 670 is the best right now?

Probably the EVGA Superclocked version or the Gigabyte GTX 670.

5 brand new cooler master sickleflows in red. These are 2000rpm fans with a static of 2.94. I've heard these can get loud when attached to rads or anything that impeds airflow. I'll install tonight and find out for myself.

My initial impressions are that the cables for these fans are waaaay too short and that upset me but we'll see if I have to extend them when I install them in the case.

Edit!
Ok I installed 5 of these fans and they are...........terrible...not even okay. Just Terrible! I have them set to push pull on my antec 620 and my temps went UP! I was using my old zalman fans which have a lower rpm, lower cfm and lower static pressure...Somehow the sickleflows are 4 degrees hotter! My max temp while running intel burn test was 76...with the zalman's it was 72. I knew they would be loud while at full speed, I expected it because TONS of reviews said that it was a loud fan at 12v. I plan on buying a fan controller to deal with the noise but, louder and worse temps? Did I mention that the cables are extremely short and not braided? My gelid silent 12's are a MUCH high quality fan. Hmm, i'll leave them in my case for right now beacause im too lazy to change them again.

Old fans on the right new ones on the left

Here you can see the 5 sickleflows installed. Two on rad, one on top acting as my exhaust, one on bottom and one in the front. Also installed to my rig is two gelid fans on my door.

Heres a shot so you can get an idea of the lights.

In this shot you can see my side panel with the gelid fans, note how long the cables are and also note that they are braided.

Ok so is there anything good about these fans? Yes, when used as just a regular case fan they move a TON of air, and they also look pretty damn cool. But thats all their good for, NEVER strap these to a rad!

Heres a video of how loud my machine is now.

How do you like the Sickleflows comapred to the Gelids, and sound wise?
I'm contemplating getting rid of my Rosewills for some more silent ones when I scrap the money for a new case.

Also just curious, what position do you hold in the US Navy?
I may want to stray into that field, but for the engineering opportunities.
Thanks for your service!

I havnt gotten the chance to install them yet, but as soon as I do I will update my thread. Also i'm a Aviation Machinistmate (AD) I primarily work on jet engines. The military isnt a bad route, but you should really know what you want to do before you stop by the recruitment office biggrin.gif

Alright, do let me know; I've heard many great things about the Sickleflows...

I definitely would want to avoid the front lines (just not in shape for that! tongue.gif), and the engineering portion behind the curtains appeals to me..
Let's just say I know a few people who know a person or two who researches for the Navy, doing so at our nearest home base; but has a lot of fun!
