How about if I buy this instead?

Intel i7 2600k @ 4.4GHz, Asus P8Z68-V LX , Corsair 1600MHZ 16GB DDR3 Overclocked Gaming Bundle

I'll also give you the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-P8Z68-V-LX-Corsair-Overclocked/dp/B007CKZJZ2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1336304914&sr=8-7

This way I save Around £50

What do you think?

There is plenty then overkill

I have learnt, There is no way I will ever get close to using my 1000w.

Trust me it takes a lot to get 850w from a rig.

I'm buying on amazon so It's gonna cost me around £388 ($440) or something like that. Could you possible send me a link to an unlocked cpu?

You definitely want the unlocked cpu but IMO you wont ever need 16 gigs of ram (more like 8) and as ginger_nuts said you could save money by getting a psu with less watts, the money you save changing those will definitely be more than the difference in price from 7970 to 680. only problem is getting a 680 because they are new and out of stock almost everywhere

I'd change the cpu to 2600K, or 3770K +an aftermarket cooler(a good one)
o wow..forgot to mention that i think hyper-threading is overrated..quad-core is good enough atm...IMO

and the RAM..This RAM is much better:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147094 ....very versatile.
It does all the frequencies with good timings.
It doesn't get hot ..so no need for heatsinks.

:doh.gif: ..and I'd stay away from Asus for videocards..Look @ MSI,Gigabyte,Sapphire, or EVGA.

The PCB on Asus cards is very, very thin..half the thickness of others.Plus they gimp the overclocking somehow.

The 3570K cost around 233.00 right now on NCIX (US) site. Nothing wrong with the 7970. Price, performance, and operating cost should beat out nvidia (Bang for the buck).Your configured system should last years and the 3rd gen chip is PCI Express 3.0 compatible.

2600K

A good 650w PSU

and a good reliable 7970

If you shop harder you may find a better deal

That is another locked cpu and I'm assuming since you bought a watercooler you wanted to overclock.
The unlocked i7 3rd gen is £35 more

edit: nvm you took away the H60 cooler for some reason

And 12 gigs is overkill if you're gaming in my opinion
