New ivy bridge build - no display

Thread Starter
I just upgraded my system, got the new z77 asrock fatality board, i5-3570k, 4x4gb corsair vengeance and a corsair gt 120gb ssd. Added on to my existing system. After putting everything together with all the power sockets plugged in, the pc boots up, hdd ssd CDROM gfx cards spin up, CPU cooler turns on (h80, lights up) but there's no color led on from the board and there is no display. Everything powers up but no led light on mobo and no display on the screen.

Tried clearing CMOS, switch monitors, switching gfx cards, but still no display.

Going to try using one stick of ram, but after that is there anything else I should do?

try unplugging your gfx and connect your monitor to the motherboard(igpu)? then go into bios and make sure that your primary video output is set to pci-e(it should be on pci-e on default but you never know).

oh i missed that one doh.gif then it must be either something with the cables(24pin at 8pin connected properly?) or its a bad board/ram.. gl!

Tried one stick of ram, tried this with all 4 sticks. Used the igp after disconnecting all my gfx cards. Checked for bent pins. Checked my old board and CPU.

None of the tricks worked. None of the ram helped it boot, even tried using my old ram, no display with igp with gfx card disconnected. No bent pins. Old board and CPU work. Is it safe to say that the board is dead?
