i think the 680s, just because the standard clock speeds are higher. they will take up more space though. The boost speeds are around the same on both so they are about the same there. Oh and also remember, the 680s can be cheaper depending on what cards you get.

If your going water get the 690. If your staying on air get the 2 680s because they exhaust the heat out of the case were on the 690 one core exhausts into the case.
