just to make sure you tried everything I'll just list the things that could be wrong.
1- PSU, check your PSU by connecting the green wire to any black wire in your 24 pin.
2- clear CMOS.
3- case power cable not connected correctly.
if all hope lost and you don't have warranty, here what you do. (keep in mind that I'm serious)
  • take your motherboard and put it in your oven.
  • set the temp to 200C.
  • keep it for around 10-15min.
  • take it out and let it cool down for 10min or so.
  • try connecting it and see if it get revived.
I revived a Asus LGA775 board like that.

I have a warranty on my mobo so gonna go bring it tomorrow if I cant fix it. I dont understand how could it break if it worked fine 2 days ago, then it was just powered down until i put it into new chassis. If case power cable is not connected properly it still should light up, I would be able to power it on with mobo button.
Already checked the psu and even tried my Antec 1200W both work fine, but mobo wouldnt buldge frown.gif
ugggh seems like it did die....

Could be that the motherboard is grounding itself on something. I would loosen the mounting screws or take it out of the case and give it a try.
Sadly , it sounds like the board may indeed be dead. Good luck smile.gif

I had this once in a project where I modded an ATX mobo in a Apple G4 case.
The system was unresponsive, until I loosed some screws. It felt very weird and uncomfortable.
I would not suspect this happening in a normal case. But you can try taking the motherboard out of the case and try it then.

As for checking if your power button is working or not, just connect the two pins on you motherboard (with a scissors or know, or something).
But that is of course only relevant if your mobo power-led gives the all-green smile.gif

Edit: seems it was the case. Nice to know I'm not the only person with that problem.

well the main problem seems to be the USB 3 converter. actually, I have one like these just not from bitfenix http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/internal-usb3-adapter/
I started to connect everything back to mobo one by one to check what was causing the problem.
I am not sure if its my mobo or the converter thinking.gif

*EDIT*
I tried connecting the usb3 cables that come from the chassis to the back of the mobo instead of the 20 pin connector, and same problem occurs, the moment i plug it in the mobo shuts it self down. I am not sure which causes the problem the mobo or the usb3 connectors

Interestingly enough, I have the same problem as you do (same AX 850 PSU too). I even went so far as to swap out different PSUs, graphics cards, and yes, the motherboard as well. But I had not thought of the screws to the motherboard being too tight. I'm usually pretty careful about them being too loose or too tight. I'll have to check that. Really irritating to say the least especially when I bought another motherboard just to see if mine was dead or not.
