Can anyone help me read these minidump files? - Page 10

It happend like 4 minutes before posting the dump. I was just browsing around the web and watching YouTube videos in HD.

I don't have a different PSU, so that's not an option.

GPU was bought around 2009, I think. I don't think it has warranty anymore and RMA'ing it would be expensive.

So, new rig time?

My pleasure my friend, thanks for your cooperation and consistent replies. If you actually get your hands on a new GPU somehow or something along those lines, please keep me updated.

Sorry your issue is hardware and not a simple fix like software, but at least we found the cause smile.gif

But why would it be the PSU? Please add me to steam if you can to keep discussing this.

Four things can ultimately cause 116 tdr / dxgmms1.sys bugchecks, and that's: software (buggy drivers, corrupt Windows), GPU, RAM, PSU. Well, five due to very rare pci-e slot cases being the issue. We've ruled out RAM and software, so the only two left are GPU and PSU. Usually it's GPU, but a PSU can cause it if it's happening during load / switching from load to idle (PSU is unable to correctly change voltages). Since yours is happening idle, it's likely the GPU is crashing due to hardware acceleration or just the GPU in general.

And if it was the PSU, it would have crashed when I was running Furmark before, right? Theoretically speaking...
