Random Lines, Polygons, Pixels - Bad 7870?

Hi guys. I've been lurking around here for a little while now, and have recently built my first PC geared toward overclocking. Unfortunately, it looks like my first post is going to be problem-related. frown.gif

Anyway, I've had my computer built for about a week now, and everything has been running smoothly until today. When I woke my computer from sleep this afternoon, I started noticing random incorrect pixels, lines, even polygons on the screen. It happens frequently when there's a lot of redrawing, like when I'm scrolling or resizing a window. The computer was simply idling when it went to sleep, and I was in the room when it did. I have a new MSI R7870 card that comes factory clocked at the following settings:

Core Voltage: 1168 mV
Core Clock: 1050 MHz
Memory Clock: 1200 MHz

The temperatures are normal. It's currently idling at 26°C.

I've noticed that if I drop the core clock down to 1000 MHz (the level for a standard AMD Radeon HD 7870 card), the issues seem to mostly go away. However, I still get one or two stray pixels every so often. I have not yet attempted to overclock the card, but from reviews I read it should theoretically be a decent overclocker.

It feels like as the day goes on it may be getting worse. Feels like more pixels, more lines.

So, am I correct in assuming that the card is likely failing and needs to be RMA'd?

Here are a few other potentially relevant system specs:

Processor: 3770k @ 4.5 GHz
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE
PSU: Corsair HX750

Edit: Added example screenshot of one of the "polygons." Think it's going back in the box...

Raise your powerslider to max, if that doesn't cut it then aditionally bump up ur voltage, problem not solved yet, bump your voltage again, problem persists?

What's your psu?

Raised power to max: no effect.
Increased voltage a few times in increments: no effect.

Only thing that seems to help is if I drop the core clock, but even then it's not perfect. At 1000 MHz, I occasionally still see random incorrect pixels. Given that that is reference, it's not looking good.

I have a Corsair HX750. I have noticed that the PSU seems to have a very slight hiss to it, even when the computer is turned off. Not sure if this is indicative of a problem or not.
