Crysis 3 on 2x 680's?

Wondering what the expected average fps will be on 2x gtx 680's running in SLI... mind you crysis 3 doesn't even come out until april 2013.

I'm debating wether I should buy a 2nd 680 towards the end of this year or just save up a bunch of money for the 790 next year

I honesty don't know. You can gauge the performance with crysis 2, perhaps.

Well, basing my guess on the education I have in games that haven't come out yet, I'm going to say from 5-9001 fps. Should be a good estimate.

it runs ok, remember to use the forceware 335 drivers.. but still you should upgrade to a couple of 980s at least, now that the new AMD architecture GCN3 its out, and forced this price war there should be no reason to keep those grandmas cards rolleyes.gif

i still like crisys 4 better, dx12 make it it looks soooo bad ass, stupid consoles still on dx11 :S

Keep your one 680 now, buy big Kepler / GTX 7xx series next year. Save money, game faster. OCN. Always big overclocks. Always. <3

I'm curious to know: What was what came to your mind when you made this question? I mean it's absolutely obvious that with 2 680's you're going to be able to max out Crysis 3 with completely playable fps (+60 fps). Why you're even making this questions!!

pfff why roll around in those ghetto 980's? get the ASUS MARS VI RoG 990's that way you can run 8 way SLi and bump your frame rate WAAAAY up to something stupid like 20 FPS biggrin.gif
