Looking for a new headset

Thread Starter
Good Morning, today I embark on a quest of epic proportions..... well not really I am looking for some opinions on a quality headset. I think I would like to upgrade to wireless, but I've heard some not so good things about that.

I am looking for a headset that is:
-Comfortable to wear for long durations
-Good track record for working (have had lots of trouble with this in the past)
-Wireless would be preferred at this point as I am kinda sick of the long cords (unless you can convince me otherwise)
-Not too expensive (although if the quality is just superior then it may be something I would go for)

Please help me find my replacement headset... and not regret it XD

+ Rep for all who are helpful

Cheers

Please do not get a wireless headset. What is your budget? If your looking for a headset for gaming and have some money to throw down I recommend the Sennheiser PC360.

While I will be using this for gaming, im leery about throwing 250 down for a headset.... Is there a warranty or something for this. I probally not buy this without a guarentee that it would last at least 5 years
post #5 of 13
There are better, but I recommend the sennheiser pc360's also. I use them for xbox as well. The sound is very good and they are very comfortable, as I forget theyre on when I get up to do something. Also the mic is great and flips up to mute, with volume adjustments on the right earcup.

with a $250 budget, there a lot of good options

I know what others have said but I really enjoy my logitech G930, it has been amazing. Granted I dont play FPS' but for music, ventrillo, and MMO's it has worked great for me. Corsair is coming out with a new wireless model soon that looks pretty appealing fyi.

If your on the PC you could get cheaper headphones and a seperate mic something like this.

The PC360 is $211 on amazon expensive but my Sennheiser headphones have lasted for 4 years. If you treat them well they should hold up.
