[bf3.org]Battlefield 3 - No VoIP planned for PC - Armored Kill information - Page 8

With Arma 3 not far away, I think I'm going to wait for it to go up on Steam for pre-ordering. I'm sure they will have some sort of special where it includes Arma 1 + 2, or at least just 2.

Arma is worlds apart from BF3. COMPLETELY different game. If you're not the type that is patient enough to wait for your team members to assume their independent positions for a coordinated attack, slowly moving in together, Arma is not for you.

One big complaint I have for aircraft is the lack of bombs in the game. Perhaps since the armor is stepping up they will add some GBU's/LGBU's or something

I believe Armored Kill will actually be adding mobile artillery. The lack of bombs in aircraft is because of how unbalanced BF2's aircraft was.

I love how every BF3 thread has the same exact people saying the same exact things that aren't constructive at all and usually completely useless to the topic. It makes it very hard to actually have a decent discussion about the game. Can't you people just, you know, go away? Please? Yes, I'm aware people are allowed to have opinions, but when that specific opinion is posted again and again in every single thread that comes up with a similar topic (in this case, BF3) it gets extremely annoying and rather pathetic.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what new guns will be added in Armored Kill. I would love to see some long-range variants of certain guns as well as some more semi-automatic rifles for other classes such as assault. An Mk14 EBR and SG550 would be awesome!

There is no telling whether that moron would listen to you anyway. Sometimes it's like yelling at a brick-wall. Sometimes the people simply hate being told what to do and don't listen just because you said something (this kind of stuff frustrates me beyond hell).

I don't have a problem finding servers that have TS servers and/or have decent team players. That's what the favorites list is for. thumb.gif

Do you think you're clever calling it BC3? xD

I have a feeling that the patch for the M26 Dart will be coming within the next week. There was a tweet saying that the reason the double XP weekend was delayed for PC was because they (DICE) wanted to make sure the PC version was running right so we can fully enjoy it. I can only assume that means that they're going to try to release a patch before the event.

This.

It was never coming.
The community got their hopes up.

I enjoy not having 32 people talk in VOIP about BS, everyone giving dumb orders. That's for the console players.
Just chat with the friends in your group. 4 players can decide a match with good team work.

BF VoIP is squad based, and squad leaders to commander only, if 32 people were on VoIP together it would get too chaotic. In-game VoIP is simply more convenient and more fluent then 3rd party. Its inclusion would only be an asset as it can always be turned off, players can be muted, spammers kicked from squads, etc. Half the people on bf2 and 2142 servers used their mics and most of them were nice people with an excellent grasp of teamwork and having fun. BC2's did not work, I tried multiple computers, installs, editing the cfg files, I simply couldn't get in game VoIP to work.
