Those that think OCZ is at fault... think again. OCZ was sandforce's biggest client, it was sandforce that did not get their base firmware correctly. Why people think it's OCZs fault? Is because OCZ used to have majority market share of consumer SSD's, thus more drives = more issues = more people spreading hate about it.
Also, it was OCZ that helped sandforce resolve the firmware bug with the SATA power state.
Personally, I had 2 50GB Vertex 2's running in raid-0 with over 4TB of writes to it on each drive, no issues, sold it to a guy. Currently running 2 Agility 3's RAID-0, no issues apart from some stuttering every 4 months or so ( secure erase fixes that ), close to 4TB writes / drive now.
Most drives are built the same, and use the same controller, it's finally now that OCZ is beginning to differentiate themselves from the general consumer SSD market, they actually build the Vertex 4 firmware in house with Indilinx.
