CM 690-II SSD adapter compatibility with original CM 690

I can't really tell from the pictures on the Cooler Master site but I am trying to figure out if this will work.

This is the drive tray from the original 690.

This is the drive tray from the second revision 690.

And this is the adapter that fits in the tray to hold the SSD.

So it looks like the adapter will fit inside the old sliders like it does with the new sliders, but I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried this and if it worked or not.

Hey man, this is how I mounted my old SSD in my ex HAF 932 (original one). You can save a few bucks and do the same.

Two holes would do the job, and you won't even need a drill, plastic should be soft enough so you can improvise.

I was thinking about something like that, but the drive slides for the original 690 seem a little flimsier than what you have which appears to be the second revision. Maybe it is just the picture but mine don't look like it would hold like that.

in theory yes the 2.5" adapter should work with your older revision HDD trays. Hard drives and the mounting screw locations have not changed so everything should line up like normal.
