I just ordered 2 AP-29's for $15.08 each, or would it be better to go for 2 AP-15's at $9.77? each

Get the 15's. My buddy has the 4200 rpm ones. They get loud even with lower voltage.

I don't know how well the AP29 scales with voltage but when I owned the AP30s they were bat**** loud, when I lowered the voltage so that the fans were at decent loudness the voltage would just be too low for the fans to stay at a rpm over 1000 without any ticking motor noise. Then again the AP29s could be different but from what I saw with the AP30s I'd only use them if you were doing a bench session or have headphones on whenever you use them.

I went for another AP-15 in the end, should be here tomorrow. Fan noise annoys me so i thought id play it safe with another AP-15 as i already own 2 and they are fantastic fans. thumb.gif
