i've done it without a headshot without hacks... but after that it gets you to think... is it a hack or is it a bug in the game itself everytime it happens to you??

After reading this, I wonder if I should even put together a new pc that can run BF3. My BF3 is still brand new in the box.

A ghost cam would be the answer, but as stated it's just not there. As an admin, I'm left with people's accusations, and waiting 10 minutes for a PB screenshot which usually shows a wall.

Isn't the limit for Punkbuster 3 screenshots within 10 minutes? Why not set up to automatically request one from every player every ~3.3 minutes?

Guys! I just realized Gametracker uploads PB screenshots. If you ever suspect a cheater in your game, check out the PB screenshots on the server's page, and submit it as evidence when you report the cheater. Edit: Server has to be properly set up with Gametracker to stream the screenshots.

Does nothing, at all. All 3 of the popular hack packages have PBScreenShot spoofing.

PB Screenshots are normally useless. Also you can set up PunkBuster to take screenshots more frequently by editing the PunkBuster server config. wink.gif

Don't let all the complaints dissuad you. A new computer would be good for some many other good games!

I have a few complaints, but it doesn't overcome how fun the game can be. I've got a little over 150hrs in, and if it wasn't a good game, I wouldn't of given it past 10 hrs. I have family life, so that time is hard to come by wink.gif.

There are tons of great games on the PC so I would still put together a new Rig. I am in the same boat as you I have my BF3 with Karkand & I havent even touched the Multi. I played the single player which was Meh but with all the complaints I just dont even want to fire up Multi

Do it with friends, or someone here on OCN who has a good platoon.

The hacking is obnoxious, and the game IMO is sub-par compared to BF2 and 2142, but it's still a ton of fun with people to play with - especially if you use some form of VoIP.

Feel free to apply to my platoon if you guys want - Zero Elite

lol. fire it up, you will have fun. There are times where it's very frustrating, but I've only come across a handful of hackers in my BF3 multi days, so it's not much of a worry. There are bugs, yes, but the fundamentals are solid(ish).

Worth the play if you have it smile.gif.

I wish I had Karkland, I'm the only one out of my 33 friends who doesn't have it... frown.gif.
