It's pretty redundant asking "why am I playing the game at all if I'm hacking," people who hack do it because its really fun. I used to bot in wow and I lost an account but kept doing it. I became really good and configuring the bot program and made a lot of gold. I never sold it or did it for profit, it was like gambling for me. The risk of loosing my account made it all the more exciting.

It really is much worse botting in a game like BF3 though. In wow I set waypoints to run around killing ai controlled mobs not human players like in BF3. There have been numerous times where I would aim at someone and would suspect them using a program because they would instantly see where I was, despite the fact that I was behind a hill with only the top of my head showing and I could barley see where they were.

That said, DICE needs to improve countermeasures and I'm sure when they do were going to see some pretty big ban waves just like what happened with WoW and Glider (the bot program). If there's a group producing a program and selling the same program to all these people, its pretty inevitable that DICE will be able to work out a detection method.

Otherwise I agree though... well... until you said you're sure they're already looking into Artificial Aiming. lawl no.
This stuff has been around and super uber easy to find since BETA. They could have completely invalidated it before the game was even released. TBH I wouldn't be at all surprised if the people responsible for "preventing" hacks are the ones producing AAiming.

Correct, DICE has not bothered looking into Artifical Aim, enhanced aim, warlord, codehook, etc etc. I could practically name all of them since I worked in the Anti Cheat department for a League. This isn't DICE's department, counter measures to stop hackers are normally the Anti Cheat system's job, which has been 3rd partied to PunkBuster.

PunkBuster on the other hand does subscribe to many of the "mainstream" hack sites. The time it takes them to reverse engineering are a pain, and it takes time.

Very interesting indeed!

Very weak response from DICE! They are very careful in their choice of words. Hacking is a big issue and they know it, but at the same time they can't just say "okay we ****ed it up and this needs to be fixed." Instead, people are still "looking into it."

There is the same problem with the call of duty series, they are using hacks that give them a huge advantage, but are not overly obvious. I've seen a few aim botters that were only hitting people in the chest and turning and finding the next target. But doing it so consistantly that it was impossible to be someone just playing.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you. A large amount of hackers want to pretend to have skill and that's backed up by this very thread. No one that hacks likes to lose or else they'd just go back to playing normally. Griefing hackers has more impact than you think.

I suggest you take a look at the forums over at Artificial Aim, or even mpgh then. I also don't see how this thread backs up anything besides the fact that people are moaning about hackers, exactly what hackers want.

Those who are hacking love articles like these, which is why they're almost always posted on the forums. By just looking at the their forums, and looking at threads on articles just like these you'll see that they get a good laugh.

EDIT:

There's a difference between hacking to grief a hacker, and to just grief a hacker as well. Hacking to grief a hacker makes you no better than they are, and thus you're only adding to the problem.

I play Metro a lot now a days since not many peeps play Damavand Peck. Normal I LMG a M60E4 and a 93R and Claymores. My best to date is 97-4 but I do 50-2 or other pretty normal I don't hack (peeps can call me a hack all they want) but with an LMG and and in the right spots you can get ton's of kill's.

Like if on RU side and have B stay in the back steps put out 2 claymores on each side of the back steps and set up your LMG watching the left side front steps. Claymore goes off get up redo and repeat. Another spot is when US is right up against the back side of B trying to get the flag. Go to the right side behind the desk and just mow peeps down again set 2 claymores behind you in case a US peeps makes it up the back stairs and comes over by you. That's just 2 way's and spots there's more I got atm 4'972 M60E4 kill's so I know how to use the gun I play 99% of the time support.

I have ran into hack's before but seems all FPS games make it BF3,BC2, and or CoD will have them I do get upset at times because of hacking but what am i going to do get pissed and quit naw I rather play with skill kill the hack and teabag them. Just saying just because the kill count is up there don't always mean the person is hacking.
