Another soon to be ex-Mac user looking to build a new rig - Page 2

I'd still get a Z68 board instead of a Z77. You're not really future proofing anything as haswell will be out the year after. Get an IB with Z77 or a SB with a Z68. You're paying more for the Z77 and can't use any of the new features with the SB chip.

Thanks! Although leave it to me to find a Z68 board that's a few bucks more than the Z77 board smile.gif

That's the nature of the beast. You go "Yeah, I'll just spend a couple of hundred dollars to upgrade my PC", and then 15min later you've ordered $1500 of PC and watercooling parts biggrin.gif

You'll never get me!!!!!

But on a side note, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered all the parts. I wasn't sure whether to be happy or sad I just spent that much money, until I realized I bought two Macs over the years that cost more than that...Although not by much... smile.gif

Thanks for the help guys! I'm calling this my 2nd birthday present. My first was pre-ordering Diablo III. Now I'll have a box to run it on!

You'll see, you will be able to play more than just D3 with that rig. I built a puter for a freind with a 570 and he's loving it!
