Is this a good CPU for overclocking?

Athlon XP AQYHA 3000+

It's a Barton core.. any good? Any past experiences?

Thanks

Most 2800+, 3000+ and 3200+ wernt known for OCing but some could. Sorry I can fill you in on more!
The 2500= and 2600+ in the mobile line were very good to great. HAa a XP-M 2600+ that did 2636 @1.75v and it was the 45w unit.

Yes, the XP mobile chips great for overclocking because they require much less voltage for the rated clockspeed, thus giving you more of a headroom for OCing. Plus, they are fully multi unlocked. Is your mobo the original version? If so, it doesn't support 200mhz fsb. Your RAM will also greatly limit your OC. Some DDR400 RAM will great increase your performance.

Cheetos, my board is the NF7-S v2 with modded BIOS... i dunno which one.

It wont support 200mhz fsb?? Yes it does.. i forgot to add the "v2" to y system specs. It's a NF7-v2. Abit website says it supports 200/266/333/400 FSB..

And the ram is an issue, I know :/

That is one sweet MB for OCing, had one with a XP-M 2600.
You will need a real good FHS to keep the temps down. Try to stay below 55c under full load. The 2600+ DT will need some volts to shine! Oh, and make sure you set the PCI/AGP to 33/66 and disable anything that says Spectrum in the BIOS.
See if that ram will work with 3-4-4-8 timings, and 2.7-2.8v you may get some more speed out of them but, yes, as you said, they are going to hold you back a lot
