as long as you dont let it get up to 62, you should be good. I have trouble when mine gets up above ~55c. it gets a little unstable.
just let prime run for a while and if you get an error you know its a bit too hot

yea I have the similar h50, and it wont go above ~52c when priming at 4.0
but when the gpu's get warm, it will actually go above that while playing cpu intensive games. I've never had it get up to 55c though
I have push/pull yate loon high speed fans with a gutted fan for a shroud on the push side.
but like I say the "don't go above temperature" is 62c so your still in the safe zone, just be weary of summer time. (not sure how the summer months are in Toronto but I know they get a little warm down here in the states)

XD been here yet?
You need to get some heatsinks and a fan blowing on those VRMs

ram heatsinks will work..
As for the cpu temps..you could try a reseat with some good TIM.
or back it down to 3.8-ish until you get better cooling..I'd try a reseat a couple times first, though.
general rule:keep it below 55c
You may experience instability due to vrm overheating, too.It would be characterized by a sudden shutoff.

My cpu goes up to 62°c - 67°c and super stable. Isn't the thermal shutdown at 95°c? I disabled thermal throttleing in my bios and I already burned a psu with my overclocking experiments. Currently I'm using a Phenom 2 x2@x4 3470 MhZ@330 bus frequency with x10.5 cpu frequency and vcore 1.450. My nb frequency is 1930 Mhz@x6. My dram is 660 Mhz with 9-9-9-24-2T.

o wow thanks Schmuckley, I usually do jump in completely forget to check other specs. you might want to find yourself a better mobo for overclocking or things might get fishy with no vrm cooling and low phase count.
my fault for not paying more attention
and Recursion, I really wouldn't let a phenom get above 62c personally, just scares me

it's running great. My mainboard has only 3+1 phase too. No problem at all. My amd turion 64 x2 ultra heats up to 99°c just close before thermal shutdown and I've tested it for hours. It's a laptop.

As for the cpu temps..you could try a reseat with some good TIM.
or back it down to 3.8-ish until you get better cooling..I'd try a reseat a couple times first, though.
general rule:keep it below 55c
You may experience instability due to vrm overheating, too.It would be characterized by a sudden shutoff.

i know 4+1 isn't the best for overclocking. i've had it at 3.8ghz for almost 2 years and never went above 50C.
Really want to see how far it will go. no plans on killing it though.
if it's 10 hours prime stable then it'll be good for Chimp 2012
any recommendations for heatsinks for vrm?
