[MacTalk] Was the new iPad Apple's 'Plan B'? - Page 3

Someone should probably let the author of the article know that amorphous silicone circuit elements don't exist. She must be a Dolly Parton fan.

As an original iPad owner, I think the screen alone is worth the upgrade. I can spot the increased resolution and the resulting sharp text quite easily.

Again, check my previous post. On launch day, I went to best buy. MOST people couldnt tell the difference. Some notices the physcial difference with the ipad 3 being a bit thicker, but I also heard plenty of others saying a simple: "cant see the difference" after they played around with it. (I had to stay in line for quite some time to try it out so only thing I could do during the time was listen to people)

Im not saying its impossible to notice the difference, im just simply saying that if you give the 2 ipad to a person who never used it before and isnt that technical, they will probably only notice the thickness (weight), LTE (if you are covered), and possibly the display.

I for one, was impressed and sold my ipad 2 immediately for the new ipad.

I can't see how anyone couldn't see the difference with two units next to each other, it's like night and day... to me at least.

I think anyone who uses a 130-160 PPI device will notice the difference with a 260-320 PPI device. They may get used to it quite quickly, but giving them the lower PPI device again will make it look blurry and stick out like a sore thumb.
