I would actually be looking at a Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, or OCZ 500W power supply, not just 450.

I'm not familiar with how the Athlon II's overclock, but how can you be overclocking your RAM, yet your CPU is at stock? (i.e., is the RAM not overclocked by the system bus, but rather with something else?).

Also, you should use memtest to verify the integrity of your RAM.

Last also, as others have mentioned, it could be your PSU--but I would be surprised if it damaged any of your components (could just be bad or inadequate power during times of load)

How is 450 watts on the edge? I have a 100 watt CPU, a 55 watt GPU, a 5 watt hard drive, and presumably at most 30 watts from the motherboard/ram.

Your video card, that requires power. AMD recommends at bare minimum a 450W power supply, the last thing you want to do is skimp on what is driving your system. When you skimp on the power supply and meeting even minimum requirements the least of the issues is instability, the worst is it fries core components.

You also mentioned you may be upgrading in the future (or did I miss understand you?).

With a 500 - 550w you are somewhat future-proofing yourself, as far as anyone can, for further updgrades.

The last thing Im sure you want is to have to go through all this again, down the track.
