Choosing the right radiator

Posting this before I head off to sleep, so I probably won't reply till morning/later today. rolleyes.gif

I'm planning a water loop that has the possibility of cooling a 3770k along with a single 7970. Both overclocked of course.
I'd either be building this inside my current Silverstone Raven RV02-E or wait for a bit of cash and get a TJ11.

Going with the Raven
I'd either go with:
-a 120 up top
-a 240/360 sitting atop the 180mm intakes

Going with the TJ11
I'd either go with:
-a 120 up top
-a 360/480 at the bottom of the case

Now to get to my question:
What kind of radiators could I use with my Gentle Typhoon AP15's?
I was looking at the Black Ice GTS/GTX radiators, but don't know if those would work with the AP15's.
Any other suggestions that may help me with my planning would be welcomed. thumb.gif

Alphacool Nexxxos 45 or 60 mm deep rads. Low fpi (less noise) plus best setup for different combos on how you want your tubing run.
They come in all 4 lengths and top marks at martins liquid lab. Finally they look cool smile.gif

Else XSPC rads are similar in performance but don't, from my point of view have the high end finish of Alphacool.

Just took a look at those rads and they look really nice and more affordable than the other ones I've looked at.
Will take a closer look at them and read reviews when I get home. biggrin.gif
Thanks.

AP-15's work great with either, but if you are going to lower the fan speed to lessen the noise you would be better with HWLab's SR-1. Although... if I were to start a new build I would play around with the UT60's. I have an SR-1 and several GTX rads, but Martin's review showed the UT60 performing exceptionally well.

I'm looking at both the SR-1 and the UT60.
Though I'm having a hard time figuring out which one to actually get.
Should I mix and match radiators or just get 2 of the same brands? kookoo.gif

I personally would use 2 of the same brand to keep things uniform unless you have clearance issues. Just keep in mind that the UT60 is one big mama. She's about 10mm thicker than the SR-1.

Well using the UT60 in my Raven is out of the question then. I don't even think there will be enough clearance even if I do remove the 180mm fans at the bottom. rolleyes.gif

I would go for the 480 rad for sure. I run an xspc rx480 and a swiftech mcr 420 on my loop and they run fine. Pump is an mcp 355

I've taken a look around and found this too. A 180mm rad that will be able to fit in my Raven.

What do you guys think of it?
Oh I didn't realize you went with the Raven already. Well, if it's the TRIPLE 180mm then it's going to be a tight fit but should work a little better than two 360mm rads. I don't think you will be able to push/pull all of the areas unless you mod the case.

If it's just a 180mm, it won't be enough.
