PS. The 1X is not Quad-Core Tegra 3 in America. It is a slightly faster and much more battery friendly dual core Qualicom processor.

The AT&T version of the One X also has a locked bootloader. I am sure it will get unlocked in a couple months, but I am waiting until that happens to pull the trigger.

@OP:
The One X is by far the best phone on AT&T right now and will be on par with the Galaxy SIII not due out for a while yet. In fact I think in terms of overall quality it will surpass it. Unless you absolutely cannot wait for the bootloader to be unlocked I would highly recommend going for the One X.

No matter which direction you go, be sure to check the prices on Amazon as they will generally have better prices than going through AT&T directly. For example the Note is down to $230 and the SII is down to $40 and the HTC One X is $150...

Much better camera(both rear and front) and better processor performance...
Now that my Galaxy S 2 has ice cream sandwich, the only thing better that the Galaxy Nexus has is a higher resolution (although my phone has better contrast with the Super AMOLED + vs the Nexus' pentile screen)

OP,

Get a One X. Its the best phone (and fastest) currently on ATT until the Galaxy S3 comes out. From looking at the pictures, its also a fairly good looking phone also. The Verge said it had the best display they'd ever seen on a smartphone.

Your phone isn't a Nexus, that's why the Nexus is better. The Nexus will always be the best Android phone. It may not be the best smartphone, but its always the best Android phone.

What I'm saying is that your phone may have better hardware, but as an Android phone, a Nexus can't be beaten. The Nexus is the true Android experience and is what that current iteration of Android is supposed to be and it will always be getting the latest version of Android that the hardware can support, straight from Google. The average shelf-life of an Android phone these days seems to be around 8-12 months, but a Nexus will get at least 2 major versions of Android. I know for sure that my phone will be getting Jelly Bean, do you? (I'm only talking about stock devices, not ROM supported devices).

you're right about stock...
But our phones are made to be rooted...

Software is important of course, but my friends Galaxy Nexus has horrible battery life, always plugged into a charger, and slow downs and apps crashing all the time...
All on this clean, pure, and stock version of Android 4.0...

I even got Android 4.0.4 before my friend did on his Galaxy Nexus...

Please re-read my post. I'm only talking about stock devices. Even rooted, the Nexus will have the latest versions of Android because its what Android is built on.

+1 for the One X, I have one (intl Tegra 3 version) and it is quite simply the best phone I have ever used. The screen is the best I have ever seen and it handles everything I throw at it.

you responded before I could edit lol... One big flaw of the Nexus is the Camera... with the 5mp and inferior lens, I can't really use it as a replacement for my point and shoot...
I do love the native Ice Cream Sandwich without some extra interface being on top of it... (Touchwiz!)
