Would this crossover monitor (with lots of ports) have any input lag?

I'm planning on purchasing it for two reasons, it's an A* panel and it has LOTS of ports including Display port and HDMI.

There's also the slight chance that it would overclock on any GPU due to the display port connection - correct me if I'm wrong.

Here it is:

But mainly, would the extra processing and the pcb etc cause any input lag when gaming?

If so how bad would it be compared to an LGIPS236v/Samsung 700d/LG E2290 (the only monitors I own).

IMO the LG IPS one has noticeable input lag while the other two don't, but the samsung, being 120hz, is much SMOOTHER.

Also I inquired about the PCB of this monitor and this is what I got:

We've contacted Crossover manufacturer upon your request.

Before I answer your questions,
Please notify that we are the exclusive, authorized Crossover monitor seller.
As manufacturer said, PCB isn't the key to measure its manufactured date.
What matters to check monitor's manufactured will be Panel's date and Monitor's date.

E3 panels used for Crossover monitors; LG S-IPS, in our stock are manufactured early this year.

Our stored monitors are manufactured the latest; on April, 2012.

Hope I answered your questions well.

Thank you,

Our appology about miswritten description.
It's 2560x1440 as written on the title.

Panels refresh rate is 60Hz.

Your question about monitor produced PCB date shall be checked by manufacturer.
If you desperately wanted to know PCD produced date, we may request it for you.

As it is descripted on, Yes, we only sell A+ quality panel installed monitors.

Hope you are satisfied upon your questions. smile.gif

Have a wonderful weekend.

I personally backed out of it and got the Achieva Shimian. Both PCBs were april so IDK what to tell you. If I wanted this specific model it would be best to wait a few months.

Well that crossover has a problem with input lag and i would think it's not a wise decision to buy one right now, they have released a new revision which fixes it but unless the seller checks it for you it's a bit hard.

Also by definition this monitors use A- panels, they are panels rejected by apple, dell etc so the fact that you think it will have a A+ panel is wishful thinking.

From what i've read the crossover is considered to have the worst picture quality of all, which also doesn't make much sense but can be due to the fact that the quality control isn't as good and the reviewers got one that was not so good, anyway at best a good panel crossover and another brand one should be the same thing, crossover has the advantage of the stand and right now getting the multi input one is a gamble that simply will not pay off most likely.

I wanted a crossover also but all considered i think i'll go for the shimian or pcbank (catleap is nice but having to open the monitor just to attach a vesa stand is something i would rather not have to do).
